Fuel delivery problems

 I own the Cub Cadel 3208 and am having trouble keeping the machine running and mowing for any length of time over 1 hr. It starts fine and mows for about 1 hour, starts chugging, back firing, and then conks out. When parked on a hill facing downward, it will start again, but runs rough and will onIy mow if it's been resting for an hour and will only mow for about 15 minutes at a time. Replaced both front and back fuel filters with OEM but hasn't helped. Fuel pump runs but doesn't seem as though the front fuel filter is filling with fuel. Could it be fuel selenoid or fuel pump, both quite pricey, or am I grabbing at straws. Would a cracked fuel tank tube cause this much distress? Battery okay. Mfg code: 1A250G20039 Please advise, PM

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

I think you may have a spark problem. Sometimes when coils get hot, the coils will stop working and the engine will lose spark. After the engine cools down you can start the engine again, but it will not run very long. Can you check to see if you have spark when the engine shuts off ?
