    Engine Intake/Combustion Air-Filter indicator

I have a L3010GST. I purchased it with 286 hrs on it and have put about 50hrs on it. The Engine Intake/Combustion Air-Filter indicator light came on yesterday. The filter case had a tag that said next service was not due until 386 hrs. I cleaned the filter but the light still comes on when I bring the rpm's up over 1500. I can also hear and feel the engine bog down when the light comes on and the rpm's do not increase - at least I haven't pushed...

I have new primary and secondary elements on order.
    A couple questions:
    1. Will I damage the engine if I run it at <1500 rpm - as long as the light does not come on?

    2. Is there anything else I should be checking that would cause the light to come on?

    Re: Engine Intake/Combustion Air-Filter indicator

     MOOT,

SORRY FOR THE DELAY IN GETTING BACK TO YOU.

FIRST, THE LIGHT ON YOUR DASH FOR THE AIR FILTER IS SHOWING RESTRICTION ON THE FILTERS. YOU SHOULD HAVE A INNER AND OUTTER AIR FILTER. PLEASE CHECK BOTH AND MAKE SURE THE FILTERS ARE BACK IN CORRECTLY AND SEALED. IF YOU REMOVE THE FILTERS AND START THE ENGINE, IF THE LIGHT STILL COMES ON THEN YOU HAVE A FAULTY SENSOR. SECOND, WHEN RUNNING THE TRACTOR AND THE ENGINE BOGS DOWN WHEN YOU TRY TO REV THE ENGINE UP, IT COULD BE THE AIR FILTERS ARE CLOGGED OR THE FUEL FILTERS NEED TO BE CHANGED. IF YOU HAVE A OWNER'S MANUAL, THE MANUAL WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO SERVICE YOUR TRACTOR, WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, WHEN IT NEEDS TO BE DONE, AND WHERE YOU CAN FIND THE PARTS THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED.

IF WE CAN HELP IN ANY OTHER WAY, PLEASE CALL US, WRITE US, OR LOOK AT OUR WEB SITE.

    THANK YOU,

    LES
